Delete your account & data

Option 1: Delete in-app (fastest)

1. Open Family Spend and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Under Data, tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the prompt. If you signed in a while ago, you may be asked to sign in again before the deletion can complete (this is a security requirement from Firebase, our authentication provider).

Your account and data are deleted immediately — there is no waiting period.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can’t sign in to the app (for example, you’ve uninstalled it or lost access to your sign-in method), email us at RoManiacX@proton.me from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm once it’s done, typically within a few days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• Your personal expenses
• Your recurring payments/bills (private and any shared bills you own)
• Your budget history (all months)
• Your activity history within any family group you belong to
• Your membership in any family group
• Your user profile record

What is retained

Nothing is retained after deletion — Family Spend does not keep a backup or archived copy of your account or expense data once the deletion completes, and there is no additional retention period.

If you submitted a feature request or feedback, that submission is kept separately since it’s not tied to your account for support purposes. Contact us at the email above if you’d like that removed too.

Partial deletion (keep your account, clear your data)

If you just want to erase your expense history without deleting your account, use Settings → Clear All Data in the app instead.
